Dose

Weanlings: 150g per day

Yearlings: 120g per day

Early 2 yo’s in work: 120g per day

(Average level measure = 80gm)

Mix Supplement well with daily grain ration

(Vegetable oil or molasses may be added)

Feeding Guidelines

Weanlings: 3.5kg oats plus 2kg lupins (or equivalent) should be provided with pasture or hay to appetite.

Yearlings: Reduce grain and increase hay as growth slows after reaching 12 to 14 months of age. 2.8kg oats plus 1.6kg lupins (or equivalent) is sufficient for most yearlings (horses in sales preparation or with less than optimal previous nutrition will require more).

In work: Young horses in training will benefit from the high amino acid and mineral levels and be better able to continue growth whist exercising. Add the supplement to standard rations - include 30 to 50gm salt per day depending on weather conditions.
